Hystrix is a high-end Italian designer table with a transparent varnished steel base. This fixed table has a top in 5/8" clear, extra clear or extra clear glass with reversed bevelled edges. The top is laid on the base.
The presence of more or less obvious stains, color variations, scratches and irregular edges is a feature of the special manufacturing process and should not be considered a defect.
