Bartoli Design, a team made up of Carlo, Paolo and Anna Bartoli, continues today an experience of design and project culture inaugurated by Carlo Bartoli in 1960 and materialized in the numerous collaborations with leading companies in the furniture sector – among others Arflex, Arketipo, Bonaldo, Confalonieri, Colombo Design, Fiam, International Office Concept, Jesse, Kartell, Kristalia, Laurameroni Design Collection, Lualdi Porte, Matteograssi, Move, Nodus, Rossi di Albizzate, Segis, Steelcase, Tisettanta, Ycami. The studio’s research work is marked by a poetics based on essentiality and balance: from the initial concept for product and communication strategies, from conception to product development, the studio’s activity embraces the complete spectrum of design. Bartoli Design also develops architectural, exhibition, interior and urban design projects. In 2008 he received the XXI Compasso d’Oro ADI for the R606Uno chair, designed for Segis with Fauciglietti Engineering. The Tube sofa for Rossi di Albizzate received the IF Award for Good Industrial Design and was selected for the series of postage stamps of the Italian Post “Italian design for a new domestic landscape”. Carlo Bartoli has exhibited his work in Italy and abroad: at the Milan Triennale, at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, at the Stadt Museum in Cologne and in New York, Prague, Hong Kong, Athens, Buenos Aires. The Gaia armchair for Arflex is included in the permanent design collection of the MOMA in New York and the Triennale di Milano. Kartell’s 4875 chair is on display in the design collection of the National Arts Museum, Center Pompidou, in Paris. The Breeze armchair for Segis – awarded with the ID Design Distinction Award, Apex Product Design Award, Red Dot and IF Award for Good Industrial Design – is depicted on the postage stamps of the Italian postal service “Masters of Italian design”. The Sol table designed by Bartoli Design for Bonaldo was awarded the “2010 GOOD DESIGN Award”. The jury of the Young&Design competition awarded Carlo Bartoli with the Apostle of Design 2012 award, for his work as a designer inspired by the necessity and honesty of design. The Still table by Bartoli Design for Bonaldo received the 2013 Red Dot award.
