Piero Lissoni, born in Seregno in 1956, is a renowned Italian architect and designer and one of the main protagonists of international contemporary design. After graduating in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1985, he founded the Lissoni Associati studio with Nicoletta Canesi the following year. Divided into different areas of intervention, the firm includes Lissoni Casal Ribeiro, which specializes in master plans, landscape design and architecture; Lissoni Associati, which is dedicated to interior projects and installations; Lissoni Design, the section devoted to product design and artistic directions for various brands; and Lissoni Graphx, which specializes in graphic design, visual communication and brand identity. Lissoni Architecture New York, on the other hand, develops architecture and interior design projects in the Americas.
Recognized with prestigious awards, he has received the Compasso d’Oro alla Carriera, the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award and two ADI Compasso d’Oro awards for Lualdi’s L16 door and the Sanlorenzo SP110 yacht. His induction into New York’s Hall of Fame of Interior Design in 2005 enshrined his global influence in the industry.
