Born and raised in Milan, Bruna Rapisarda’s journey began with a foundation in classical studies followed by formal training at the European Institute of Design. Parallel to the opening of their first independent studio, they established a long-term collaboration with Interni magazine. This experience proved pivotal, allowing them to hone the analytical and synthesis skills that would later become a hallmark of their professional approach to design.
Her entry into the industrial design world was marked by a significant, multi-year partnership with the furniture company Robots. Acting as a design consultant, they gained invaluable experience training within a corporate environment. This early phase of their career saw immediate success; their debut product, the Zen chest of drawers (1989), earned prestigious acclaim by winning both the 15th Compasso d’Oro Award and the Young&Design competition.
