Francesco Lucchese

Francesco Lucchese was born in 1960 in Messina, Italy. He graduated in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in 1985. He began his career receiving the 1st ADI award with a folding chair project and in 1985 founded the Lucchesedesign studio developing projects of architecture, interior design and product design around the world. He collaborates as artistic director and business consultant for internationally renowned companies also dealing with strategic company positioning. At the same time he continued teaching at the design faculty of the Politecnico di Milano.

Lucchesedesign works all over the world with different levels of design depending on the customer’s request, with a great ability to adapt to different contexts offering an approach and a 360º view of the services offered.
The opening of the new office in Nanjing in China makes the structure competitive for the offer on the Asian market both from the logistic point of view and interface with the customer ensuring a direct presence on the territory. The studio operates in different fields and offers a wide range of product design projects thanks to the collaboration with leading Italian and foreign companies. The product design is addressed in its entirety by taking care of all aspects related to it through the artistic direction and including the marketing strategy, the project of brand identity, the design of trade fair stands, of showrooms and exhibition corners, support in advertising campaigns, exhibitions and photo shoots.

The products designed for Italian and international companies operating in the field of furniture, lighting, bathroom and surfaces, receive prestigious international awards covering a wide range of products: collections in murano glass for Vistosi, Venini, Salviati, Nason & Moretti and Cappellini, furniture design collections for Swan and Molteni, lamps for Vistosi, Venini, Fabbian, Egoluce and Luxit, accessories for De Vecchi, Ghidini, Zens and Nodus, kitchen accessories for Panasonic, surfaces for Mosaico+, Light of Carrara and Granite Flanders. There are numerous bathroom design projects for Toto Indonesia, Villeroy & Boch, Antonio Lupi, Hatria, Fir-Italia, Naos Wellness Design, Olympia Ceramica, Caleido, Inda and Rapsel.
