Garth’s career began in his native Toronto. Shortly thereafter, he moved to New York, where he established his first design base. During his five years there, Garth designed in the areas of interiors, product, and branding. After arriving in Europe in 2005, Garth quickly found the opportunity to develop projects for premium furniture brands B&B Italia and Zanotta. Garth’s interdisciplinary design is guided by an aesthetic philosophy that creates a delicately balanced tension between pure materials and essential forms. The success of this approach has led to critical recognition, with an entry in the International Design Yearbook and a nomination for Best Furniture by the Elle Decor Awards. This approach has also led to creative direction for international clients such as Kalmar Werkstaetten and Mabeo Furniture, as well as collaborations with some of the world’s elite design brands, including B&B Italia, Zanotta, and Glas Italia. Currently, Garth maintains his international perspective on creativity by living and designing between Milan, Berlin and New York.
