Kensaku Oshiro is a Japanese industrial designer born on Okinawa Island in 1977. After earning a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan in 1999, he began building an international career distinguished by innovation, craftsmanship, and refined contemporary aesthetics.
From 2004 to 2012, Oshiro was a member of the design team at Lissoni Associati, where he contributed to a wide range of furniture and product design projects. He later joined the renowned London-based studio Barber Osgerby in 2012, further expanding his multidisciplinary expertise before establishing his own design studio in Milan in 2015.
Working across furniture, lighting, and industrial design, Kensaku Oshiro creates elegant, functional products that combine Japanese minimalism with the sophistication of Italian craftsmanship. His designs are recognized for their clean lines, attention to detail, and thoughtful use of materials, resulting in timeless pieces that balance beauty and practicality.
Throughout his career, Oshiro has participated in numerous international exhibitions and design competitions, earning prestigious awards that have established him as one of the leading voices in contemporary product and furniture design.
