Black and white portrait of a man with short hair, wearing a dark sweater, gazing right with contemplative expression and dramatic lighting.

Louis de Limburg Stirum is working since 1992 as a freelance designer. While he was studying, he realised different projects in the studios of famous designers. He worked for several years at the very prestigious design studio from Axel Enthoven in Antwerp. After having finished his studies at la Cambre Industrial design section in 1989, Louis joined the army. One year later he completed his army duties as an officer in the cavalry. Back in Belgium, after a long trip to Africa, Louis started to work as an industrial designer for several companies. Later on he founded his own company Stirum Design. After his first client, Villeroy&Boch, many national and international labels followed such as Ethnicraft, Rometti, Vervloet-Faes, Hermès, Eternum, Koozo and Puiforcat. Louis de Limburg Stirum combines contemporary elegance with industrial design in an artisanal way. He also teaches at the College of Advertising and Design in Uccle (Belgium).
