Martinelli Venezia Studio

Martinelli Venezia Studio is an Italian design and architecture practice founded in 2015 by architects Carolina Martinelli and Vittorio Venezia. With studios in Milan and Palermo, the practice operates across product design, furniture, exhibition design, architecture, and interior design, bringing together diverse disciplines through a shared interest in material culture, craftsmanship, and contemporary design.

At the core of their work is an ongoing exploration of the relationship between tradition and innovation. Their approach draws on local knowledge, cultural heritage, and the distinctive qualities of materials, translating these references into contemporary forms that balance functionality, experimentation, and expressive character. By investigating the technical possibilities of manufacturing processes alongside traditional craftsmanship, the studio develops objects and spaces that connect their origins with new ways of living and experiencing design.

Martinelli Venezia Studio’s multidisciplinary practice extends beyond furniture and product development to include exhibition installations, architectural projects, and collaborations with artisans and manufacturers. This breadth of experience allows the studio to approach each project from multiple perspectives, considering not only its visual identity but also its material qualities, production methods, and relationship with its surroundings.

Their work has been presented in internationally recognized cultural institutions and design venues, including the Musée du Louvre in Paris, MAXXI in Rome, and Triennale Milano. The studio has also collaborated with a diverse range of Italian and international brands, developing projects that reflect a distinctive balance between research, craftsmanship, and contemporary aesthetics.

Through a thoughtful combination of cultural research, material exploration, and design innovation, Martinelli Venezia Studio creates work that bridges heritage and modernity. Its practice reflects a vision of design that values the knowledge embedded in materials and manufacturing traditions while continually exploring new possibilities for contemporary objects, interiors, and spaces.
