Moro & Pigatti is the Italian design duo formed by Graziano Moro and Renato Pigatti, whose creative practice is driven by a shared passion for beauty, aesthetics, fashion, and design. Their approach to creativity is deliberately unrestricted, allowing them to explore different types of objects and disciplines whenever a project has the potential to create new emotions and experiences in everyday life.
Before establishing themselves in product design, Moro and Pigatti worked as consultants for prestigious fashion brands. In 2001, they founded Magazzini del Sale, their own consulting, design, and styling company, where their experience in fashion, communication, and lifestyle became an important foundation for their subsequent work in design.
Their passion for product design led to the creation of Design of Love, the collection that established their distinctive relationship with SLIDE. Beginning with the iconic Queen of Love armchair, the project developed a unique design language inspired by the richness and ornamentation of Italian Baroque and Rococo traditions, reinterpreted through contemporary materials, vibrant colors, and an unmistakably playful spirit. In 2015, SLIDE acquired the Design of Love collection and continued developing it together with the designers.
Moro & Pigatti’s work is defined by the contrast between classical references and contemporary expression. Elaborate ornamental details, sculptural silhouettes, and decorative elements are transformed into modern objects through polyethylene and rotational molding, creating pieces that combine historical elegance with a pop, ironic, and highly expressive character.
Their collaboration with SLIDE has expanded the Design of Love universe beyond seating to include tables, lighting, mirrors, decorative frames, accessories, and other elements, maintaining a coherent visual language across different functions. The result is a collection designed not merely to furnish a space, but to give it personality, emotion, and a strong sense of theatricality.
Through their distinctive ability to merge tradition with innovation, ornament with contemporary materials, and elegance with irony, Moro & Pigatti have created a recognizable design language that continues to define one of SLIDE’s most iconic collections.
