Nendo

Nendo is a design studio founded in Tokyo in 2002 by Oki Sato. The purpose of the company is to create projects that surprise the public across various disciplines, such as architecture, interior design, industrial products and graphic design. Since 2005, the Tokyo office has been joined by the Milan office.

The designer Oki Sato, to create his name, was inspired by the Japanese word Nendo, which means clay. Born in 1977 in Toronto, Canada, over the years he has developed a design with a minimalist spirit that recalls Proustian moments thanks also to detailed elements that make his work a design with an iconic spirit.

In 2009, Oki Sato started collaborating with Arketipo bringing his unique vision and creating the collection DECOBOCO. Characterized by linearity, simplicity and design, DECOBOCO was a way to demonstrate how a sofa could express itself through different heights and modules, while remaining functional and comfortable.
