Quaglio & Simonelli

Quaglio Simonelli is the creation of two designers: Andrea Quaglio and Manuela Simonelli, both graduates of the Università del Progetto, in Reggio Emilia. After their debut in Italy, they are invited by Philippe Starck to join the Tim Thom, Thomson Multimédia’s creative center, as product designers, to put their creativity at the service of the various brands of the group. Their collaboration with Thomson and subsequently TCL, of which Manuela will lead the Global Strategic Design, will last more than 10 years. They design technology products, create furniture and decorative objects, conceive the visual identity and product design for brands, alternating industrial logic and artisanal approach.

The result of the meeting between two complementary sensibilities, their products has been nourished by their history, by the creative gaze they direct on the world that surrounds them and by the mutation they love to induce on it. In this way, they design objects that look familiar, yet contaminated with unexpected and poetic elements.
