Stefano Casciani

Stefano Casciani (born 1955 in Rome; based in Milan) is a multifaceted figure in the realm of design—not simply a designer, but also a critic, curator, writer, and industrial consultant. Beginning his career as editor of Domus and art director for Zanotta by age 25, he matured into one of the most influential voices in international design culture. Casciani’s vision extends beyond creating objects: he’s committed to amplifying design discourse through exhibitions, publishing (founding the magazine Disegno. La nuova cultura industriale in 2012), and educational projects. His work reflects the belief that design is a cultural narrative, intersecting art, architecture, and social context.
