Born in 1986, Tommaso Caldera graduated in Industrial Design at Milan’s Politecnico in 2012. Between 2008 and 2012 he collaborated as a Junior and then Senior Designer at the Odo Fioravanti Studio in Milan, and then moved to New York to join the Jonathan Olivares Studio. In 2012 he opened his own studio and began collaborating with Italian design companies, which led him to present his first creations as an Independent Designer at the “Salone del Mobile” in the same year. In September 2013 he was selected by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York as the Top Young Industrial Designer. Since 2016, he has combined his designing activities with academic lecturing in Turin, Bologna and Milan. The studio, based in Pavia, deals with product designing and art direction for Italian and international companies.
