Nodo Italia
NodoItalia takes its name from “nodo,” the Italian word for “knot,” a fitting signature for a company whose story begins with a single thread. Founded in 2018 as a small artisan workshop, the brand grew quickly in size and ambition and soon stepped onto the international stage with its tailored outdoor collections. It was born as a spin-off of an Italian industrial group with more than four decades of experience in high-performance yarns for indoor and outdoor use, and that textile heritage remains the backbone of every design.
Each piece is built around Olyna®, a technical yarn developed by sister company Essegomma and produced at a plant in Lombardy’s Groane Natural Park. The yarn becomes rope, and the rope becomes furniture and accessories, from braided sofas and chairs to ottomans, lanterns and rugs. Olyna® is engineered to withstand salt air, UV rays, pollution and daily use. It is 100% recyclable and stain resistant, and it keeps its good looks with minimal maintenance. Advanced manufacturing gives each piece its precision, while skilled artisans finish it by hand, preserving the human touch at the heart of Made in Italy.
What truly sets NodoItalia apart is its approach to color. Every rope, fabric and knit is chosen from a broad, carefully coordinated palette, so frames, weaves, cushions and rugs come together in one harmonious setting or can be customized for a specific project. This flexibility has made the brand a natural partner for hospitality, with installations at the Mandarin Oriental on Lake Como, the Hyatt Centric in Milan and the historic Savini restaurant in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. A capsule collection with fashion designer Antonio Marras, built on the idea of “dressing” furniture, and the Beyond Outdoor project, which carries the brand’s materials from the terrace to the living room, show a company that keeps exploring the space between design, fashion and the open air.
