Description
More than a simple writing desk, Hortensia holds a second identity beneath its composed exterior. Suspended on a base of worked brass, its fine, confident lines trace the piece’s geometry with precision, while a plywood structure underneath keeps the piece light on its feet without asking to be noticed. Every surface is wrapped in leather, available in a variety of finishes, chosen for its warm density and for the character it develops over time with use.
Lift the writing surface, and the flap opens to reveal a backlit mirror — its LED lighting wired for the US market — turning the desk into an intimate space for personal ritual. Two leather-wrapped side drawers complete the composition, bringing order to the small essentials of daily life.
Designed by Celeste Dell’Anna Design as part of the Courmayeur Collection, Hortensia is built for bedrooms that refuse to choose between rigor and intimacy — a piece that shifts effortlessly between function and elegance. Made in Italy.
Product Care: To preserve the beauty of the leather finish, clean leather surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth using mild soap and water only. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish. Dry gently after cleaning. Natural tone variations and markings are inherent to the material and will develop into a unique patina over time.
For those who wish to complete their desk with a refined finishing touch, a hand-stitched leather-wrapped magnifying glass can be added as an optional accessory, available for an additional cost.
